“Like SMITH, Muriel has no traditional control structures. Instead, Muriel has a command to replace the currently running Muriel program with a given string, and run that instead. This leads to a programming method where a program must quine itself in order to perform any sort of loop.” In short, Muriel is a programming language that cannot do loops, but that can replace itself with a given string, which can be used for loops. Muriel is compatible with another language named “Bub” (short for “Brainfuck ugly Bodge”) which means that a program written in Muriel can be simulated with Bub, and a Bub program can be simulated in Muriel. Considering that Bub is a variant of “Brainfuck” (another esoteric programming language but that is Turing-complete, meaning that any program written with it can be used anywhere) meaning that it is technically possible to write a special program that “translates” a Bub program into a Brainfuck program, it would be possible to write a Muriel program into a Bub program, then translate it in Brainfuck. Brainfuck being Turing-complete as said before, any program written in Muriel can be used anywhere, from a normal website to a rocket launch program. And this, without using any loop.
Ja, sorry, ik kan er ook niks aan doen. Ik drukte Ctrl+V en dit kwam er uit.
Edit: heb het net ff gegoogled en kwam op een copypasta op reddit uit.
